Venue:      Location: 4        Facilities: 4    Refreshments/Lunch: 3

Link up with EMC UK is good, Break Lengths meant good chance to see exhibitors.

It is the best place for conference because of beautiful and quiet situation.

Provide transport facilities.  Provide mineral water, juices etc. during coffee breaks.

A long journey, but well signposted and easy to get to.

Newbury can be problematic to drive to and many people were late.

Being one of the late arrivers myself I can hardly disagree with the final statement, I only missed about 5 minutes (and it did start early), but it can be difficult to get to Newbury from the north of the London-Oxford latitude, there was an incident on the M40 north of Oxford that caused traffic queues and public transport to Newbury from anywhere outside the South West of the UK is difficult to say the least.  However, most people arrived on-time so those of us who were late were in the minority.

Mineral water or juices would have been nice during the breaks.  There were other refreshment options at the venue, but these would have had to be paid for separately and it can be difficult to cater for all peoples tastes, but certainly I think water should perhaps have been available (even if only chilled tap water).

In general this years conference was significantly better organised than the earlier visit the Automotive EMC Conference made to EMC UK in 2004, and all the credit goes to Nutwood UK, the organisers of the main exhibition and general (i.e. non-Automotive) EMC conference.

Conference Organisation:     Booking Information: 3        Delegate Pack: 4

Everything needed was provided

CD material is very useful.

Add paper to take notes during conferences.

No pen.

Different to previous years booking arrangements, why?

As in previous years I would have liked to have added pens and a note pad, unfortunately we ran out of pens and didn't have the budget for notepads!  There were plenty of pens from the stands in the exhibition and there were a few blank pages in the printed proceedings.

The booking was different from previous years as we handed all the organisation, including booking, to Nutwood UK so that the delegates could have a single point of contact and single method of payment if they wanted to attend the other events on the second day.  When we tried seperate booking methods in 2004 we ended up in a lot of confusion at the start of the day and this was clearly avoided this year.

Conference Overall Rating:    4

Good range of subjects

Every session are very interesting.

High level discussion and high quality explanation helps my understanding.

I would like to join it next year is I have a chance.

Add printed presentations to conference proceedings.

It is useful to have written notes for the other sessions (not attending) as reference material.

It was good that it was tied to an EMC event.

Well balanced agenda with high standard of content and presentation. Thank you.

Great for general interest, plus some points to definitely consider during future designs.

Good overall conference, content and quality remains high.

Another excellent series of papers that were clearly well received.  Discussions were quite involved from both presenters and delegates and the range of topics was extensive for just 8 papers, covering design, test and compliance issues.

Would you be interested in attending Automotive EMC 2008  [  YES=82% of respondents ]

Clearly this is the best compliment the conference could have, many thanks to all those who filled in their forms
